A year after abortion was legalized in Mexico, many are still finding it difficult to get access to the procedure. Over 80 percent of the doctors in the city have become "conscientious objectors" and will not perform the procedure, while some hospitals have added "unnecessary" fees and rules to delay the process.

Well that's called a hospital. I'm not surprised this is happening. I'm amazed Mexico City has become so progressive and legalized abortion. People need to realize that if they dont let women get abortions, there will be many more unwanted children. Or people will attempt to get one done by themselves, which will only harm the woman.

i dont like the thought of women having abortions but at the same time if they don't get one they'll just end up abandoning the baby somewhere...so i see the reason why these doctors dont want to perform it. life is a struggle

i think its there choice...but cuz mexico has such deep catholic roots im not amazed that allot of doctors refuse to do them

they shoud not do that because is alife baby if u are so stupid to open you're legs carried with the baby don't be a women thats goin to regretall ger life
